Making Boxes

The boxes are done! Ana and I had a fantastic time building these babies. I think I have definitely caught a bit of a wood-working bug. Building with reused woods was eye-opening. Each piece of wood had its own character. The weight differential alone was fascinating.  Then there were the bits of words and phrases scrawled in odd places; concrete poetry in wood form. A huge hat’s off to Ana for making the jigs and figuring out how to handle a right angle.

Thank you to The Center for Book Arts for letting us take over part of the bindery for a few days!
